Tushar Hedaoo spent eight days in Bali and came back with one word to describe the whole experience: easy. And if you have ever tried to plan a Bali trip yourself, you know exactly how surprising that is.
But that is exactly what he said.
"It was all booked by Thrillophilia, like whatever I wanted to cover in Bali was already covered in the itinerary. It was so easy for me." And honestly, looking at what those eight days actually looked like, easy is the best possible compliment.
The Trip Started in Ubud
They landed at Ngurah Rai on the 25th of April and went straight to Ubud, and if you are going to Bali for the first time, this is genuinely the right way to start. Ubud is inland, greener and quieter than the coast, and it gives you a feel for the island that the beach areas simply cannot. The first evening was free to wander, with the Kuta Night Market, Kuta Square, and Kuta Theater all close by. But after a flight, sometimes just being somewhere new and breathing different air is enough.
Central Bali Gave the Complete Bali Experience
Day two was a full Central Bali sightseeing tour, and this is where things started getting really good. The rice terraces, the forest temples, the whole sensory overload that Central Bali does so well.
Eight hours of it with private transfers and tickets included. Tushar mentioned going to "the heaven temple," and if you have ever stood at Lempuyang and looked through those stone gates with Mount Agung sitting perfectly in the frame behind them, you know exactly the moment he is talking about. It is the kind of view that makes everyone amazed and just stand there soaking in the view.
The Day the River and the Mud Roads Took Over
Day three was white water rafting on the Ayung River combined with a 90-minute ATV ride, and this was the day the trip properly shifted into adventure mode. The Ayung gorge is all overhanging jungle and carved stone walls, and the river moving fast and loud underneath all of it.
The ATV ride through Bali's back roads came with scenery that kept surprising them around every corner. "There were a lot of photorealistic spots," Tushar said, which is a brilliant way to describe a landscape that genuinely looks too good to be real. Complimentary local lunch after all of that was very well timed.
East Bali and the Gates of Heaven
The east tour on day four was ten hours covering Lempuyang Temple, Tirta Gangga, and Lahangan Sweet. Lempuyang is the one everyone has seen in pictures, and the pictures do not do it justice.
Tirta Gangga, the royal water palace with its fountains and lily ponds, was a slower and cooler way to spend the afternoon. Lahangan Sweet wrapped up the day with panoramic views that put everything into perspective.
Misty Gates, Floating Temple, and Sunset
Day five was a ten and a half hour sweep through some of Bali's most recognisable spots. Handara Gate in the north with its pine forest and mist, looking nothing like the rest of the island. Then Ulun Danu Beratan, the temple that sits on Lake Beratan and appears to float, which is one of those places that lives up to every photograph you have ever seen of it.
And then Tanah Lot at sunset. The sea temple on its rock, the tide coming in, the sky going orange and pink behind it. Bali doing what Bali does best in the final hour of the day.
Water Sports in the Morning, Kecak Fire Dance at Night
Day six had two completely different personalities, and both of them worked. Morning at Tanjung Benoa beach with parasailing, banana boat, and jet ski. The kind of morning where you come back sunburned and salt-soaked and very happy about it.
Then in the afternoon, Uluwatu cliff temple above the Indian Ocean, and the Kecak Fire Dance at sunset with the sea stretching out behind the performers. Going from jet ski to ancient fire ritual in one day is amazing, and it was excellent with Thrillophilia as it was all managed so well.
Nusa Penida and the Massage That Saved Everyone
Day seven was the big one. Speedboat to Nusa Penida, then a full west island tour covering Kelingking Beach, Angel's Billabong, Broken Bay, and Crystal Bay with complimentary snorkelling. Kelingking is the cliff that looks like a T-Rex head with a hidden beach at the bottom, and the colour of the water there against the white limestone is one of those things you just have to see in person because no photo is going to convince you it is real.
Twelve and a half hours later, a two-hour Balinese massage was waiting for them at the end of the day to make them relaxed.
How Thrillophilia Made it Better for Them
Tushar kept coming back to one thing when he talked about the trip. "Whatever I wanted to cover in Bali was already covered in the itinerary. It was so easy for me." Eight days across multiple parts of the island, private transfers throughout, activities sequenced so each day had its own shape without ever feeling rushed.
