My Unforgettable Journey to Singapore with Thrillophilia: A Review by Piyush Patil
When I first decided to travel to Singapore with my companion in May 2024, my excitement was through the roof. Singapore had always been a dream destination for me—its futuristic skyline, lush green spaces, and diverse culture had captured my imagination for years.
But little did I know that this trip, organised by Thrillophilia, would exceed every one of my expectations. It wasn't just a vacation; it was one of the best experiences of my life.
A Warm Welcome
The moment we touched down at Changi Airport, I felt an undeniable buzz of excitement in the air. As we grabbed our luggage, our driver, who had the friendliest smile, welcomed us and took us straight to our hotel.
Ibis Styles Singapore on Macpherson was everything we needed—a cosy, stylish retreat after our long journey. My companion and I felt instantly at ease. And though we were a bit jetlagged, I was already brimming with excitement for our first adventure that evening—the Night Safari.
A Unique Adventure at Night Safari
I had heard so much about the Singapore Night Safari, but experiencing it firsthand was something else entirely. Imagine boarding a tram under the stars, and exploring different geographical zones while nocturnal animals like lions, hyenas, and elephants roam around, fully awake and in their element.
The commentary during the safari added depth to the experience, giving us insights into these majestic creatures' behaviours at night. It was both educational and awe-inspiring.
I remember whispering to my companion, “This is only day one, and I’m already blown away!”
Exploring Singapore’s Iconic Landmarks
Our second day kicked off with a city tour, and boy, was it a visual treat! Our guide was so warm and knowledgeable, and seeing iconic spots like Merlion Park and Marina Bay Sands in person felt surreal.
Standing 57 stories high on the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark, looking over the entire city—wow, what a moment! The view stretched over the Singapore Flyer, Gardens by the Bay, and the sparkling Marina Bay. I found myself wishing I could freeze time and just savour the breathtaking panorama.
Later that afternoon, we explored Gardens by the Bay, and this place, with its blend of nature and technology, was pure magic. The towering supertrees, the tranquil Flower Dome—everything about it was a feast for the eyes.
To top it off, the Impressions of Monet: The Experience added a beautiful, artistic touch to an already incredible day.
A Day of Fun at Universal Studios
If there’s one place that can bring out your inner child, it’s Universal Studios Singapore. This was the day I had been eagerly waiting for, and it did not disappoint.
From stepping into the streets of Hollywood Boulevard to being whisked away into Shrek’s world in Far Far Away, every moment was filled with joy and excitement. I still remember the thrill of the rides and the laughter we shared—it was a day of pure fun.
Sentosa Island and the Magical Wings of Time Show
Sentosa Island was a paradise for adventure lovers like me. We started with a cable car ride—and let me tell you, the views were something else! The entire Singapore skyline, the shimmering waters of the South China Sea—it felt like flying.
Afterwards, Madame Tussauds was another fun stop. We couldn’t resist snapping hilarious photos with the wax figures, thanks to the Digiphoto feature.
But the real magic came with the Wings of Time show. Sitting on the beach, watching a story of friendship and courage unfold through a mix of laser lights, water, and music, all set against the backdrop of the sunset—it was simply unforgettable. My heart was full.
Farewell Singapore, Until Next Time
All too soon, our final day in Singapore arrived. After a relaxing breakfast, it was time to head back to the airport. As I sat on the flight back, I couldn’t stop thinking about the incredible experiences we had. This trip wasn’t just about sightseeing—it was about making memories that would last a lifetime.
Looking back, my journey to Singapore was nothing short of perfect, and I owe so much of that to Thrillophilia.
They planned everything with such attention to detail—from hotel bookings to activities and transfers—ensuring we never felt rushed or stressed. I also want to give a special shout-out to Vijay Sir, who was so helpful and guided us throughout the trip.
Thrillophilia has raised the bar for travel experiences, and I can’t wait for my next adventure with them!
