The Inspiration Spark
My colleague strongly suggested that I look into Thrillophilia for our honeymoon, and so our adventure began. Upon my return home, I looked through Thrillophilia's website with my wife, intrigued.

Getting to Paradise
We touched down at Seychelles Airport on December 11, 2023. We had a cordial welcome and were then driven to the Mahe Jetty for a beautiful ferry voyage to Praslin. The stunning blue waters and verdant surroundings created the ideal atmosphere for our honeymoon.
We were taken to our hotel by vehicle after disembarking at Praslin Jetty. We were given the choice to either unwind or tour the island after checking in. We opted for the latter, taking a leisurely walk on the fine, white sands of Côte d'Or Beach, where we felt at ease.
Also,we stopped by Anse Lazio, widely considered to be one of the world's most picturesque beaches, where we basked in the sunshine and took in the breathtaking scenery.
On a Journey to Praslin and La Digue
Exploring the UNESCO-listed Vallée de Mai, a nature reserve brimming with rare palm trees and wildlife, was one of the highlights of our holiday. As we strolled through the verdant surroundings, we were transported to a tropical haven.
We took a ferry to La Digue Island again the following day. After arriving at La Digue Ferry Harbour, we embarked on a leisurely cycling tour around the island. We rode down the lovely trails and came across the world-renowned Anse Source d'Argent, which is among the most photographed beaches in the world. Spectacular granite boulders and azure waters greeted us.
Additionally, we went up to Nid d'Aigle, where we were astounded by the expansive views of the island. Next, we went to L'Union Estate to have a better understanding of the island's past and its ancient copra making methods.
Embracing the Local Way of Life
We visited Victoria, the capital city of Mahé, and were astounded by the Victoria Clock Tower, a quaint monument that exquisitely captures the island's colonial past.
Plus, we stopped by the beautiful Arul Mihu Navasakthi Vinayagar Temple, which gave us a taste of the local culture and devotion. It was captivating- both the bustling ambiance and the beautiful carvings.
One of the best parts was touring the Takamaka Rum Distillery. We tasted exotic rums and found more about the Seychelles' long history of rum production. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the local way of life.
Rest and Romance
Our honeymoon package came with a much-needed relaxation session. The picture-perfect setting was Anse Royale, where we spent an afternoon lounging on the pristine sands and cooling down in the turquoise seas. We swam for hours, took it easy, and enjoyed each other's company in this picturesque location.
We savored gourmet snacks at a variety of neighborhood joints every evening. Beautiful sunset views enhanced every bite of the delectable seafood and Creole delicacies served at the exquisite restaurant.
The Excitement of Adventure
Our schedule was filled with exciting experiences as well as leisurely pursuits. As we dove into the coral reefs, we saw an array of vibrant marine creatures. It was thrilling to dive into the aquatic realm with each other, as if we were in our very own secret paradise.
The helpfulness of our tour guide, John, greatly elevated our experience. As our host, he made sure we were comfortable and entertained us with fascinating island tales. His knowledge and enthusiasm made our experiences feel more like they were just for us.
Looking Back at Our Trip
As our honeymoon came to an end, I couldn't help but be thankful for every second we had spent together. "Do you recall that sunset cruise?” I glanced at my wife, who nodded enthusiastically. "It felt like a scene from a movie," I murmured.
I cherished every aspect of it. She smiled as she said, "It was so romantic," capturing our mutual delight.
I couldn’t have asked for a greater companion to share this adventure with, and the memories we made together were priceless.
