A Switzerland Trip to Remember- Kokalla’s Review With Thrillophilia
The thick molten chocolate was dripping like drops of heaven, and I was just about to splash into the pool of chocolate syrup created below….
…my wife woke me up.
Even after weeks of returning home, I was dreaming of being inside the Lindt chocolate museum.
Our romantic trip to the land of Swiss beauty had left a deep imprint on our hearts and minds, and we were struggling to shake off the vacay mode. Even hours of grinding at the office and rigorous workouts at the gym did not help.
Then one fine day we received a call from Thrillophilia’s team, asking us to write a review of the recent trip to Switzerland that we booked from them. And finally, we could see some light…this was our chance to let all the stuffed emotions out.
What is better than writing your heart out when you are overwhelmed?
Awe-Inspiring Would be an Understatement
We had opted for a Switzerland tour package, whose each aspect, starting from transportation to activities was specially curated by Akanksha. Thrillophilia’s team helped us curate a marvellous vacation, and the memories we made are still lingering at the very front of our minds.
The first vision that I get when I think of this trip is something extraordinarily spectacular…
I and my wife were on the cable car ride to Mount Titlis when we realised that we were actually living our long-lost dream of travelling to Switzerland together.
Who doesn't dream the same while drowning in love?
It was the world’s first 360-degree revolving cable car ride, which took us gliding along the slopes of the mountain and finally dropped us at the top. The views from there are beyond any English expression…but I distinctly remember my wife mumbling something softly to herself.
I had overheard it.
Hay main mar javan…
She thought I did not hear it, because, she immediately walked past me to stand near the railing to take a better look at the surroundings-
Everything was clad in thick quilts of snow, and the chilly air seemed to shiver our bones. But the sheer beauty of the place surpassed any other emotion we felt at that point…it was as if we were in a snowy paradise that knew no ends.
The next best thing that we remember doing was taking the Glacier Express.
From Zermatt to St. Moritz, the 8-hour-long journey was nothing short of impeccable. We saw the Matterhorn with all its grandeur, forming the background of the most scenic landscape I had encountered to this day. The meadows gleamed yellow, the swaying grasses greeted a warm welcome to the approaching autumn and winter. The red-roofed houses dotted the picturesque sight, completing the entire scenery.
Our experiecne ont he Glacier Express was amazing. Alongside enjoying the views, we could also enjoy some Swiss delicacies on the way, enriching our taste palette with a wide range of regional flavours.
Oh, how lovely the day was…
Bridges over serene waters
Lucerne was just magnificent. And so was Zurich.
We came across some amazing architecture that reminded us of the glorious past of Europe. The watchtowers transported us back in time, and the beautifully decorated bridges that connected them to the mainland were way too romantic for us to not indulge in some special moments.
The day we went to Interlaken, we were thrown off-guard by the sheer expanse of the lake. Cool winds blew and we could see some small towers and houses on the other side. Switzerland was truly a land of dreams, no wonder why people go mad to visit here at least once in a lifetime.
Cheers to Incredible Adventures
What we saw and did in Glacier 3000 at Gstaad was way above our imagination. We did not even know that such a place could exist in the world, so beautiful and so full of adventures! It was not about any tours, it was all about activities.
We took the slide that rolled us across the mountaintops, through the valleys and across the snow-covered pine forests…and while I was screaming my heart out throughout this journey, my wife was recording a video the whole time.
Unfortunately, after the ride we realised that the camera was never on…although we had second thoughts about taking the ride again, we decided otherwise. The only consolation we could give ourselves was that we lived through it and it will forever be one of the most exciting adventures we undertook in our lifetime.
Upon this, the breathtaking views of Gstaad left us speechless. We saw horse-driven carriages, curious about what they were used for. The food options there ranged from German bakes to Swiss fondues which melted our hearts in an instant.
Thrillophilia was very helpful in arranging for our Swiss Passes which made locomoting around the destination a piece of cake. The itinerary was superb, and we had enough scopes to enjoy by ourselves, and also take on the best tours and activities on the trip.
We both gladly give you 5 stars for the services you have provided. And our assured trust in you guys is not going anywhere soon, so keep up the good work and we will be back to travel with you guys soon!
